Flagstone & Flooring Tile Specifications
COMPOSITION:
High Performance Concrete base fortified with fiber reinforcement (does NOT contain fiberglass) for added durability and to lessen the migration of water into the tiles. By nature, concrete is already an environmentally friendly product being made of limestone and natural aggregates with natural oxides for brilliant colors. We also recycle our water during the processes. Made with Eco-Friendly GREEN formulations.

Approximately 6.8 lbs. per square foot

Approximately 3/4 inch
COLOR:
Colors are all "natural oxides" (no synthetics and Environmentally-Friendly, GREEN). Color is fully integrated and dispersed throughout the tiles (including the "high-lighting" colors).

FINISH:
All products are sold unsealed. A sealer is recommended after installation to protect the product and grouting. Refer to Sealer manufacturer's specifications regarding application and maintenance. A high quality penetrating matt finish sealer is recommended for all walk and drive surfaces to enhance its stain resistance properties. Sealer needs to be a breathable type, non-film forming, non-yellowing masonry type of sealer suitable for concrete surfaces. High quality sealers should last several years with only two coats applied.
FADING:
Products show minimal color-change over long periods of time.
DURABILITY:
Our HANDCRAFTED STONETM Specialty Flooring and Tile Overlay Product's Flagstone, Slate, Old World and Saltillo, (Mexican Paver) textured tiles, may be used in light commercial and most residential applications, on existing and new concrete bases or slabs, interior and exterior.
Virtually no maintenance is required. Concrete tiles must be sealed after installation. Refer to sealer manufacturer's specifications as to cleaning and re-sealing schedules. If “High Quality” sealers are used, maintenance requirements are minimal. Use neutral (pH7.0) standard nonabrasive, water-based household cleaners on stubborn stains. In most cases, plain soap and water will work. Manufacturer recommends trying the cleaner of choice in an inconspicuous area first to see if there is no noticeable change in color of product. Handcrafted Stone cannot warrant any sealers, cleaners or their claims.
CLEANING:
If a high quality sealer is maintained, soap and water should be sufficient to clean the surface. Follow all sealer manufacturers directions on cleaning surfaces that have its sealer applied to the surface of Handcrafted Stone tile. Do Not Use Acid Cleaners. Do not use De-Icing Agents that can etch the surface of concrete. (Check the manufacturer of the De-Icing Agent to see if it will affect concrete surfaces and their warranties). Some of these chemicals may damage the surface of concrete products and will void warranty. Do not use Power Washers, they may cause pitting on the surface.
SETTING MATERIAL:
Use quality thinset mortar with Acrylic additives.

Portland Cement and Sand with Acrylic additive.
