Our Terra Roma  flagstone is the most artistically unique tile on the market today with a patent pending and only adds 1 inch additional thickness to concrete surfaces. The flagstone textured tile / paving stone begins its journey in the form of a large rectangular sheet, packaged onto a pallet and ready for delivery. By design, our flagstone tile is then hand shaped onsite just like Mother-nature's flagstone.  This insures that no two pieces are the same shape or size and creates the most natural appearing flagstone surface compared to any other hand-made type of product on the market today and makes its flagstone design unique to us. The installation process of our concrete flagstone tile / paving stone also allows the designer and installer unlimited design versatility and creativity for their customers. Installers are happy to use our concrete based flagstone textured tile / paving stone because it can be installed faster and easier than natural flagstone and requires less skilled labor and lower installation material costs. This can translate into lower installation costs to the consumer and allows for more sales to be closed by the contractor while still providing an economical, durable, attractive alternative to coatings, stamping, staining and natural flagstone stone installations.

APPLICATION:
Handcrafted Stone Specialty Flagstone textured tiles / pavers may be used in light commercial and most residential applications, on existing substantial and sound new concrete bases or slabs, interior and exterior. The flagstone tile is NOT DESIGNED to be installed in large rectangle sheet but must be shaped into smaller pieces as with natural flagstone. (No warranty exists if installed as a large rectangle tile.)Do not use De-Icing Agents that can etch the surface of concrete. (Check the manufacturer of the De-Icing Agent to see if it will affect concrete surfaces and their warranties). Some of these chemicals may damage the surface of concrete based Flagstone textured tiles / pavers and will void warranty. Can be applied over substantial sound wood floor with wonder board sub floor and a moisture barrier. Cracks need to be repaired for existing concrete, following industry standards, before installing Handcrafted Stone Flagstone textured tile / pavers product. FINISH:
All Flagstone textured tiles / pavers products are sold unsealed. A sealer is recommended after installation to protect the product and grouting. A penetrating masonry sealer is recommended to prevent staining of Flagstone textured tiles / pavers by other substances. Refer to Sealer manufacturer's specifications regarding application and maintenance.

NOTE:
The Terra Roma flagstone textured concrete tile and paving stone is NOT designed to be installed in full sheets and are manufactured in a large rectangular sheet for shipping and handling convenience only. Our flagstone is designed to be shaped into pieces at the jobsite. (It is not considered a defect if full sheets of Terra Roma flagstone develops a hairline crack during shipping. The flagstone tiles / paving stones are designed to be shaped at the jobsite and should be shaped at a hairline crack, if any are present). Handcrafted Stone recommends using the simple Shaping Tool (design and picture of tool can be seen at the Technical/ Installation Guideline section at the Home page). This will lower the amount of time necessary to shape and install our flagstone textured tile / paving stones and lower the likelihood of causing undesired breaks in the tile while shaping.
