As a professional Tile Contractor, I stand by Handcrafted Stone's product 100%. I believe it to be more than suitable for any approved installation if installed correctly. I personally have installed the product myself and have found no reason for it to be weak or not suitable for floor coverings. As with any material to be installed, if not done properly to manufacturers specifications, there can and will be issues.

We have easily installed over 80,000 square feet of the various styles of Handcrafted Stone concrete flooring tiles that they offer. Our clients are very pleased with the installed costs of the concrete tiles verses other products.

Handcrafted Stone is not difficult to sell. Sometimes people liked it but didn’t go with it because they were going after a specific look but a good amount of people would change materials because they were so impressed with what they could achieve by using the Handcrafted Stone product.

Our clients chose the Handcrafted Stone concrete tiles over natural stone, brick, coatings or stamped concrete products because they virtually get the same look as natural stone and inferior products, at a reduced overall expense to them.

The Handcrafted Stone product was easy to install as they had claimed. You need one skilled person and the helpers don’t have to be very skilled. It was easier and faster to install than other products. Other products that are harder to install than Handcrafted Stone are natural stone and interlocking paving stone because of all the demolition that is involved in the process. It is easy to grout the product with a grout bag, the preferred method.

We installed their concrete tiles over driveways and pool decks and were confident that the product would work. The quality is excellent and it is also very durable.

We have had very few call-backs. We have gone out to do repairs less times on Handcrafted product than most of the other products we have installed over the years. It makes it a greater product to use because of that. We have not had any call-backs due to defective product. A good portion of the call backs where due to the need for the installation of a slip-sheet that had to go underneath the Handcrafted product. We would go back with additional product and install it and it would look great. The only thing that would look a little different would be the grout because it was already weathered, but the product looked the same.

Customers also wanted something unique and they didn’t want to spend all their money trying to achieve this. They really liked the fact that they can get a stone look without having to spend the money that natural stone costs because of all the labor involved in shaping and cutting the natural stone. They were also impressed because of the different ways the Handcrafted Stone product can be used against other materials enhancing them, and the different ways that the material can be used. For example, if you have the big sheets to break and get the flagstone effect, you can cut them to a certain size and create a decorative border, and fill in the rest with the flagstone pieces, or if you have the tiles you can break does to create the flagstone look in certain areas and you don’t need to order any more material.

The appearance of the product is phenomenal. You can order it at different times and it looks the same. We had some product sitting for a long time that we didn’t realize we had and we used it with new product. We could not tell the difference.

Most clients seemed to prefer the Handcrafted Stone flagstone textured concrete tile. We installed all of the various styles that are offered; Slate, Mexican paver, Flagstone or Old World tile but the most popular one that we installed is the Flagstone even though we have installed all of them.

The Handcrafted Stone flagstone textured tile is very unique. You can manipulate the product to give you many different looks as you are doing the job. You don’t have to custom order any trim pieces. To my knowledge, there not any other tiles out in the market like it. Their flagstone textured tile is also very easy to shape.

Our average size jobs were 700 to 1000 square feet.

The Handcrafted product gives us a competitive edge over other companies. Most companies don’t like to be creative and Handcrafted stone products allow us to express our creativity in a different and unique way that other products don’t allow us to do in an affordable manner to make it pleasing for our customers.

Handcrafted Stone is a versatile product. There were a couple of jobs where the customer did not want the tile look after the product was delivered, so we gave them what they wanted without having to re-order any material. We basically did bands in the tile and broke up the rest of the tile to give them a natural stone look.

When we have a client with an existing concrete base we have to remove the concrete first to install interlocking pavers or stamped concrete. Clients don’t want to go through the hassle of the demolition process because of the noise and the unknown factors. The unknown factors can be that a water line may break due to the vibration or it wasn’t properly installed but it probably would have been fine if it wasn’t disturbed.

We feel that their product is eco-friendly because installers do not have to remove existing concrete bases before installing the product.

We are very pleased with the selections of styles of the Handcrafted Stone tile line because they allow you to get very creative and the color selections are very good. Also they can be put against any type of color and look very good.

We find most of our customers either by word of mouth or through Home and Garden Shows that we attend. We like to include the Handcrafted Stone brochure along with our brochure in order to offer their tiles in our estimates as an alternative, to what we were asked to bid by our clients.

We make a profit installing and selling Handcrafted Stone concrete tile and see a strong future for our company selling and installing Handcrafted Stone concrete tiles to our clients.

We would recommend this product to other contractors. It is a great product to offer customers.
